2006’s Cwm Festival was set in Cromer, Norfolk. Joining up with
Resonance’s Diana Mavroleon, the festival proved to be richer, fuller and more ambitious than ever with Indian marquees, geodesic domes, performances on the collectively built veranda, free nettle soup (from nettles pulled up to clear camping spaces), film screenings (in the geodesic dome) and three days of live music, spoken word and performance.
Again the festival was free and made possible by the collective contributions of those who attended and wanted to help.
Leading on from last year Utrophia was also able to welcome back members of Norway’s ‘Metronomicon’ contemporary music network, who proved to be a focal point of the live performances presenting 'Now We've Got Members', 'Magnus Moriarty' and 'Centre of The Universe'.
‘Cwm to the Valley’ presented and furthered the ethics and philosophies of the previous two festivals and ever progressing activities of the Utrophia network as a whole.
Its scope and success was testament to the broadening scope of the Utrophia network as an
organic organisation, exploring and presenting contemporary expression.
