------------------------------------------------------------
Hello
I started the Utrophia events at
The Time Bar
in Greenwich on the 4th of July 2002.
The word 'Utrophia' came from a theory I came up with for my dissertation which was on Utopian Literature.
The live element of these early Utrophia nights was initiated by
The Naciente Quartet
with whom I was a member.
That particular event marked the release of the
Utrophia Compilation 01
which I co-ordinated and produced.
I (with the help of friends) ran the monthly event at the
291 Gallery
.
I later co-ordinated a one year residency at
The Bear
on Deptford High St in which no one band played more than once.
I have been involved in the running of all three
Utrophia Project Spaces
, have helped co-ordinate all the yearly
Cwm Festivals
and managed the Utrophia websites.
Musically I have played in
The Naciente Quartet
,
The Marching Band
,
Coy Carp Burger
,
Docksud
,
Midnight Ron
,
Croc O Tile
,
Doghammer
,
Mouth 4 Rusty
and have constantly arranged songs under the name of
Tile
.
I make
films
and also write.
