"Artistic and technological advancements come from individuals who think outside "the box". Educational institutions must recognise this and seek ways to dissolve boundaries between faculties, for it is admin and course categorisation that impose limitations upon students creativity." Ben Cummins
For the last 9 years Ben has produced a series of lecture/workshops that develop strong understanding of the kindred qualities shared between art practices. Coming from this perspective students are able to recognise such qualities within their own work and that of others. Ben has also designed a series of lecture/workshops on creative curation where students have successfully produced a series of cross-disciplinary, cultural events. These events demonstrate the strength of working within a network consisting of students and external practitioners from various faculties and disciplines.
