17/10/05 - Metrosexual films in full schwing
It has always been part of Grovesnor's schtick to incorporate video and film works into his live set, cos let's face it,
he's not much to look at - wouldn't you rather close your eyes and imagine it's actually Hall n Oates up there?
Mmmmmm......

Anyhoo, with the completion of the House of Many Windows video (see media page) co-produced with Stephen
Molyneux, and it's reception of faces agawp with horror and humour at it's first screening for St Martin's College
graduates in Stoke Newington's Barden's Boudoir back in the summer,  the marriage of sound to screen has
become an all too serious consideration.  Watch this space.
28/05/05 - Grovesnor to appear at the second Cwming
Anybody who trundled over to Snowdonia last summer will have been privy to the second ever gig Grovesnor
played with his new found vocal chords.  And hosts Utrophia have asked him for a repeat performance, the fools.
Expect a full range of new songs and old from the recently completed Metrosexual album.
15/04/05 - Second full length long player Metrosexual now available!

'I used to be in the live line up of a great band called Hot Chip.  I left, they got massive.'

With a brand new EP called The Barbarian out now and their second album new singles due out on EMI in 2006, this
may well be one of the last chances to see this crowd pleasing 5 piece in an intimate venue.

Anyways, they've asked the Grovesnor if he'd do the support duties, and it's an opportunity he's lapped up.

With any luck, this will be the first time the general public will get a chance to view the accompanying films
Grovesnor has been making with a number of directors for live favourites from his Metrosexual album and new
material such as Wallflowers (featured on the Utrophia Compilation 2).
So where's he been for the past year or so?  Well other than keeping up the drum duties in The Naciente Quartet
and trying to keep down a steady job to pay the rent, Grovesnor (Rob Smoughton) has put to bed a string of
electro-soul pop songs of the shiniest variety.  The highly anticipated Metrosexual album is finally available.  With
a beautiful sleeve designed by Scott McNamee, this is available to buy on the Shop page.  Get yours now!
