And so along came Metrosexual.  What do you say about this album?  It's a bit of a departure from previous
releases and recordings.  Gone are the samples, enter Grovesnor's vocals and vocoders.

This release sees a more confident, more focused Grovesnor at the helm.  Electronica this is not - these are
finely crafted pop songs which defy classification.

Opener The House of Many Windows is a cover of an old British underground psychedelic number from
Bobak Jones Malone (sometimes referred to as Motherlight) given a synth and pitch shifted update.  Check
the media page for the video.

Next up is I wouldn't Mind'er which draws on those come-on give it a go lyrics of Denis Waterman's theme
from Minder (word of note this was written pre-Little Britain) which was reputedly written following an incident
at a Eurovision themed house party.

Fessin sees Grovesnor in character.  Inspired by the collection of short stories by Primo Levi called The Sixth
Day, this track explores what happens when you try cloning a human.  When Fessin was first performed live
in 2004 Art Terry from Art Terry and The Faeries described Grovesnor as 'a young white Teddy
Pendergrass'.

Grovesnor's love of the samba comes to full play on It's Latin the evening - like daft punk jamming with
Azymuth.

Japtop 2 is perhaps the only obvious link to Grovesnor's first album Scuse Fingers.  Once again inspired by
Oriental electronica, here we find the computer singing to Grovesnor warning him of the dangers of
overloading it's processor and installing too many cracked software programmes and on the following Plug in
Grovesnor urging him to get back on that cyber-saddle and ride.

Only 4 1 Nite - a live favourite also sees Grovesnor in character.  Ever been away from home on business
and been tempted by the fruit of another?  Then this tracks for you.  A 24 hours from Tulsa for the n
oughties.

Finally there's the twisted garage funk of Lickstick and the album's eponymous track.  All synth bursts,
basslines and face packs.  With a finale to rival anything from Transformer's the movie, turn this up loud and
feel your ribs shake.
