Music has once again retreated up it's own backside,
and Grovesnor is standing at the entrance handing out maps. 'Scuse fingers…' is Rob Smoughton's first
release under the Grovesnor misnomer and is an exercise in electronic merriment. The beats are friendly and
quirky, while the melodies are beautifully simple. And what's with the spelling? Well as Rob says "If the 's' is
silent, I can put it anywhere." And it's this kind of merry disregard for conformity that characterises 'Scuse
fingers…' It's as charming as it is beguiling. How come someone hasn't written these tunes already?

These were all written on demo software with the save function disabled before Grovesnor got his new
computer, and therefore were usually completed within a few hours or in the case of the title track over the
course of one evening and into the following morning.  And on a school night too!
