Welcome to The Woodward Wing. In memory of
Julian Woodward and the time he spent at the Utrophia Project Space, a living installation has been co-ordinated around Julian's artwork and his lasting influence. A salon style hang sees a portion of the work Julian created whilst at the studios. In stark contrast to the neon lit kitchen the Woodward Wing with its gold framed door ways elegantly housing thick velvet curtain partitions, candle holders, harmoniums, tribal masks, gold framed mirrors and black painted walls, sets a certain ambienc. Many locally bought, wholefood, organic banquets have been held within this space, initiating ideas, plots and tirades of laughter. Combining the concepts of Stephen Molyneux and Benjamin Cummins the creation of this space, the painting of it's walls and the piecing together of the elements, defines a context which constitutes itself as a piece of artwork, a living installation, much like Julian's beloved Marching Band, which we hope will venture forth again on his return to London. Come with us now as we venture into the wing...
